A bus shelter on the Upper Richmond Road has been knocked over after a car mounted the pavement and crashed into it.

It is understood that nobody was waiting at the stop at the time of the collision which took place near the offices of the
Brazilian Naval Commission in Europe (BNCE) on the morning of Wednesday 23 June.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are not know and there have been no reports on the condition of the driver of the car which is believed to be an Audi A6 estate.

The police have not reported any arrests being made and have not, at this stage, made an appeal for witnesses.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
