A man in his twenties has died after being hit by a lorry in Putney this Saturday (2 November).

Originally reported by the police to have been a pedestrian, the latest information is that he was riding an electric hire bike when the collision occurred shortly before 1:43pm on Lytton Grove near the junction with West Hill.

The victim, named locally as Dean, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being pronounced dead. His family are being supported by specially trained police officers.

The driver of the lorry, which appears to have been a water tanker, stopped at the collision and was not arrested.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information including dash-cam footage of the scene between 1:30pm and 1:50pm on Saturday, 2 November, to call 101 quoting CAD 3850/02NOV24.
