18 year old Lloyd James Edwards who lives at Langmoor Point, Noiley Vale, Roehampton is due to appear at Kingston Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of 51 year old mother of two, Laila Rezk last November. The arrested man is being held at a South London Police station.

Police were called around 9pm to Robin Hood Lane, SW15, where Mrs. Rezk was found suffering from serious head injuries by her son, daughter, and daughter's boyfriend, who arrived at the house just before 21:00 and found the door slightly ajar.

She had returned home from work in Covent Garden where she worked for an in-flight entertainment company. The attack is believed to have happened shortly after her return.

Her family had her rushed to hospital in Tooting and her husband Maurice flew back from a business trip in Egypt to be by her side but she died the following day.

Police released CCTV images which showed Mrs. Rezk getting on the number 85 bus near Putney railway station at 7.21pm on the day of the murder. She travelled to Robin Hood Roundabout where she got off at 7.42pm and walked to her home.

Police have interviewed more than 1,000 people in the inquiry including many local residents who were in the area at the time of the incident.
