A woman in her thirties from Roehampton needed treatment in hospital after being attacked in front of her home by two men pretending to be policeman.

She was approached by the pair on Arabella Drive shortly before 9.58am on Monday 29 November.

The men were wearing caps with 'Police' on the front and they claimed to be conducting a drug search. The victim challenged them but they forced her into her home, assaulting her in the process leaving her with cuts and bruises.

The men left the property with a two-month old female American XL bulldog puppy, which is described as ‘blue merle’. Cash and a bag containing Christmas gifts were also stolen.

The victim was treated at hospital for injuries before being discharged.

Officers from South West Command Unit are investigating and have arrested two men , aged 53 and 34, on suspicion on aggravated burglary on Wednesday, 1 December. They remain in custody at a south London police station.

Anyone who has information or footage relating to this incident, but has not yet spoken with police should call 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting 1837/29NOV.
