DC
Mark Hanley, of Wandsworth CID,
said: "This was a particularly
nasty and predatory attack.
We are appealing to anyone that
was in the vicinity of Putney
Heath at approximately 5pm on
the evening of Thursday 11th
July who may have seen something
or someone acting in a suspicious
manner".
"The
suspect was a white man wearing
a blue boiler suit and it is
believed he left the immediate
scene of the attack on foot.
I would specifically appeal
to anyone who regularly visits
Putney Heath, perhaps to walk
a dog, who may have seen something
out of the ordinary or someone
acting suspiciously that day".
Anyone
with information or who may
have witnesses the incident
is asked to phone DC Mark Hanley,
of Wandsworth, CID, on 020 8870
9011. If you wish to give information
anonymously please call Crimestoppers
