Thieves are targeting valuables left in unattended in cars - Putney Safer Neighbourhood Police Officers are tackling this on several fronts. During February they have conducted numerous pro active “sting” operations on the ward coupled to the executing of search warrants on addresses of those known to deal in stolen goods.

This is coupled to encouraging motorists to remove all valuables when their car is left unattended. Officers have conducted high visibility patrols during the latter part of February dedicated to advising motorists around the area of the Alton Estate. They have liased directly with Wandsworth Borough Council and Roehampton University to reinforce this advise.

Please be advised, thieves are actively looking to steal Satellite Navigation systems, Lap top computers, Blue Badge permits, clothing, cash etc.

Note! If you own a satellite navigation system remove the cradle as well as the unit.
