Night at Café Pasta in
Support of the Royal Hospital
for Neuro-disability
Brains
boggled at Café Pasta
in Putney as teams enjoyed a
Quiz Night and raffle in aid
of the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.
The event was a great success.
5 teams of 6 people took part
and nearly £800 was raised
for vital equipment and services
at the Royal Hospital, a national
medical charity based in Putney.
The
Quiz Night was organised by
volunteer, Amanda Robart, who
also managed to enlist the support
of a wide variety of local businesses
who donated prizes and gifts
for the raffle. Livio Rossino,
Area Manager of Café
Pasta kindly offered to host
the event free of charge, and
donated a special meal for all
the contestants. He said, "The
Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
is a very worthwhile cause.
I have been very impressed by
the work of the staff at the
hospital and by the volunteers,
like Amanda. I am very happy
that we have been able to help."
Amanda
said, "This is my first
fundraising event for the Royal
Hospital for Neuro-disability,
and with the help and support
of people like Livio I hope
it will be the first of many."
Paul
Kennerley, Director of Special
Appeals for the Royal Hospital
for Neuro-disability said, "Quiz
nights are always popular fundraising
events and this one has been
a fantastic success. Almost
£800 has been raised for
the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
and all those who took part
had a great evening. We are
particularly grateful to Amanda
Robart for organising the quiz
and to Livio Rossino and his
team at Café Pasta for
hosting the evening. Their support
helps to raise vital funds for
the work of the Royal Hospital."
The
winning team won a bottle of
Champagne from Waitrose in Putney.
Raffle prizes were donated from
Putney businesses; Sarah Archer
reflexologist, The Green Room
at the Body Shop, Toni &
Guy, Headmasters, Home From
Home Dog Boarding Agency, The
