Academics on strike at the University of Roehampton have organised a number of teach out sessions which are open to the general public

A spokesperson told this website: "Striking is a last resort and we regret the impact on students’ education. So, while classes are cancelled, please join us for free, public and alternative workshops and talks where you can join the experts to learn beyond the curriculum".

The teach out programme is open to everyone, students and the public and gives us the chance to carry on learning from each other. The teach out programme also reminds the University that it is people who make education work, not the buildings or the technology inside!

There are no fees, no exams, no entry requirements. All are welcome, whether you usually have anything to do with the university or not. Entry is free

Each speaker will present some ideas they find interesting in jargon-free style. Questions are encouraged, and the atmosphere is friendly.

All sessions at The Kings Head (Hogarth Room), Roehampton High Street, SW15 4HL (unless otherwise stated).
