In what is becoming an annual tradition, the PMC Singers is holding an informal teatime concert to raise funds during Christian Aid Week.

Friends for the group will be joining to perform a varied selection of vocal and instrumental music.

The concert takes place at the Putney Methodist Church, Gwendolen Avenue (SW15 6SN) on Saturday 18 May from 3-4pm. Admission is free but donations to Christian Aid are welcome.

There will be refreshments provided and a cake sale is taking place from 10am – 4.30pm

Christian Aid Week is an annual fundraising drive by the charity Christian Aid held each year in Britain during the second week of May, when thousands of volunteers post red collection envelopes to households around the country. This year it runs from 11-18 May.

The PMC Singers welcomes all who enjoy singing, whether or not they read music. The group covers a wide range of styles and, amongst other things, put on two informal concerts a year. The choir generally rehearses fortnightly on Thursdays at 7:30 pm.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.

One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.
