It has retained its Victorian feeling and the decor is smart, comfortable and pleasing to the eye. (The one exception being the 'high top' tables near the bar area with their extremely unforgiving wooden stools!). There is table service in the lounge area, a good wine selection and is non-smoking throughout. If you like a drink, but don't appreciate your clothes reeking of cigarette smoke, give the Duke's a try!" 11/06

The layout of the pub makes it a bit packed from time to time and it does attract a younger crowd at the weekends but I suppose that is par for the course. Highly recommended though."12/07
