"An Unexpectedly Fruitful Year" | ||
Local agents SW15.com look back at their first 6 months in the Putney market
We are now reaching the end of the year and the end of our first half year of trading at SW15 Estate agents. And what a successful six months it has been. The property market has been steadily picking up all year, which is apparent in the sheer volume of rentals and sales that we have achieved. We put this down to an improving market and an improving tone of media messages such as the Nationwide and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors reporting increases in property prices for nearly every month of the year. We also put our success down to excelling in customer relations. Quite often, the real reason a property fails to sell is a lack of effort from the agency which diminishes further the longer the property is on the market. After all being a good Estate Agent isn't just about waiting for the phone to ring and having someone desperately wanting to see and offer on your property. Anyone can sell a property in that manner. It is about knowing the people you are dealing with, namely your applicants, knowing what they are looking for and encouraging them to view a property that they may well have otherwise overlooked while trawling through the masses on the internet. At the end of the day people by properties from people and these relationships are the key to success. “If you want to persuade, you must appeal to interest rather than intellect” quoted by the American statesman and novelist Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790).
