Police ask residents to be vigilant
Wandsworth
Police received over a hundred knives in a month-long campaign to get
the weapons off the street. A selection of the knives handed in were designed to be offensive weapons. Chief Supt. Joe Royle seen with a slection of the weapons said: Some very nasty knives were handed in and a major motivation of Operation Blunt was to educate the public, especially teenagers, on the dangers of carrying knives. Both to their personal safety and breaking the law.
